'Cardboard Song' is a joyous song, because it is nonsense. There used to be a time I used to write songs and make up stupid scenarios in my head. I can’t even remember what it was in this song and listening back I am none the wiser. But I do remember writing it in the kitchen of the first flat I moved to in London and feeling exited about moving to the city for the first time. I get warm and fuzzy thinking of that funny little guy. He’s almost like a total stranger to me now.
